will be working at events, after discussing this with Paul, this
will not be an issue.
Sam Lynch came to
talk about the Aldo Leopold Society Banquet on February 26, 2010 at
the Westgate Sportsman’s Club from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Tickets are $25 each. Motion made by Wayne Wilson and
seconded by Larry Lapp to purchase 2 tickets to this event
and donate to any club member willing to attend and to donate $100
to this event. Motion Carried.
3. Discussed selling raffle tickets. The Bar Raffle tickets
seem to be the problem. A motion was made by Scott Sinz and
seconded by Wayne Wilson to form a committee of 3 members
(Larry Lapp, Martha Stratton, and Don Heifner) to discuss and
organize the sale of raffle tickets. Motion Carried.
4. Heard a proposal from Bob Kistner on the pheasant pen
repair. Bob presented 2 proposals, one for 2x2 netting and the
second for 1x1 netting. Total cost for the 2x2 netting proposal is
$7914.76 less $2600 from insurance claim or $5,314.76; the 1x1
netting proposal is $10,482.27 les $2600 from insurance claim or
$8,282.27. Bob recommends the 2x2 netting option. Motion made by
Paul Jacobson and seconded by Al Finder to repair the
pheasant pens with the 2x2 netting option. Motion carried.
5. Motion made by Scott Sinz and seconded by Bob
Kistner to ask 2 members to attend the Wisconsin Wildlife
Federation annual meeting in April. Motion Carried.
6. Discussed sponsoring Women’s Shoot on June 1, 2010.
Motion made by Chad Mogen and seconded by Paul Jacobson to
donate $450 to $500 if the club does not receive the grant from the
NRA. Motion Carried.
7. A motion was made by Scott Sinz and seconded by
Larry Lapp to budget $500 for kitchen supplies. Motion
Carried.
8. Rod Finder has volunteered to cook meals for every regular
meeting. A motion was made by Wayne Wilson and seconded by
Bob Kistner to give Rod and extra 20 pheasants and 5 points
per meal for doing this. Motion Carried.

Representative, John Murtha came to the meeting to discussed
tomorrow’s vote on keeping the Governor of the State in charge
of appointment as the Secretary of the DNR vs. having a DNR Board
Representative appointment. He hasn’t decided yet, but is
leaning with staying with the appointment. He shared some of his
reasoning.

Pheasant pen reconstruction-Bob Kistner. We received $2,600 from
insurance, what he would like to do is raise the runs and fencing. An
additional $5,300 will need to be spent. Bob presented a detail
expenditures listing. Motion made by Rich Leventhal and
seconded by Bob Stratton, to accept spending the extra money
to repair the pheasant pens. Motion carried. A motion was made by
Russ Hitz and seconded by Duke Holmberg to stay with
“Day-one Chick Program”. Motion carried. We will try to
get 3,000 birds, but may only get what we usually do, 2,000.

Dave Leach and Dave Sundal will be attending the Aldo Leopold Society
Banquet at Westgate Sportsman’s Banquet February 27th.
Both members will make a report back to the club at next month’s
meeting regarding this banquet.

Wildlife Federal Banquet-Paul Jacobson will attend in Stevens Point
there are two tickets available. Paul will use one. If you are
interested in going, contact Dave Moore.
